Within the framework of inclusive participation in disaster preparedness and response, this project is aimed at strengthening capacities of highly vulnerable groups especially persons with disability to be active agents and participants in community-based disaster risk reduction and management.
In partnership with the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), the project is currently implemented in the cities of Calbayog and Catbalogan in Western Samar and was launched in the middle of September 2015.

The Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) project in the Municipality of Buguias in the province of Benguet aims to strengthen people's participation in local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management projects and activities.
This project will build capacities of barangay based DRMC's to increase their level of participation in the municipal wide DRR initiatives and facilitate a broad based engagement and participation among members of community and local instituions such as schools and people's organizations such as cooperatives in local DRRMC planning and initiatives.
The project is supported by the United Nations - World Food Program (UN-WFP) Philippines. The project will run from February to November 2014.
In cooperation with the Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE), this project aims to strengthen environmental education in the curriculum and education programs of schools and the alternative learning system or ALS.
A total of 162 teachers completed the teachers training on Strengthening Environmental Education. 76 are public school teachers and heads from the province Benguet; 45 are Alternative Learning System (ALS) mobile teachers and district coordinators from the 6 provinces in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR); and 41 school heads and principals from Sta. Cruz, Zambales.
